KTD Creative worked with the Interfaith Alliance to create a report called Big Tech, Hate, and Religious Freedom Online. This information graphic was designed as a quick representation of the players that control social media.
As a growing number of Americans find community online, many encounter the same, or increased vitriol in digital spaces as they do in person, often accompanied by threats to personal safety. Congress has failed to take meaningful action to protect religious belief and expression online, even as the Supreme Court prepares to hear two cases involving content moderation on social media.
Interfaith Alliance is the only national advocacy
organization that brings together people of all faiths and none to protect true religious freedom. This report connects the dots between this fundamental right, our increasingly online lives, and the Big Tech business practices that incentivize hate.
The Interfaith Alliance celebrates religious freedom by championing individual rights, promoting policies that protect both religion and democracy, and uniting diverse voices to challenge extremism. They believe that religious freedom is a foundation for American democracy. They also believe that matters of personal conscience must be held sacred, but no one has the right to impose their beliefs on others and that religious and political extremists are a threat to individual liberty and democracy.
